Our Story

What began as a dream and a handful of seedlings has grown into a family legacy spanning four generations. In 1971, Charlie, Drew, and Denny Yenser planted 3,000 Douglas Fir trees on the rolling hills overlooking the Mahoning Valley, laying the foundation for what would become Yenser’s Tree Farm. Through decades of hard work, dedication, and a commitment to family values, the farm steadily expanded into the beloved destination it is today. What started as a small Christmas tree operation has grown into nearly 140 acres of farmland, traditions, and unforgettable experiences shared by generations of visitors.

As the years passed, the Yenser family continued to grow the farm beyond Christmas trees. Seasonal events, sunflower fields, and fall festivities brought families together and allowed more people to experience the beauty of the property and the incredible views that make this place so special. With each generation, the vision expanded while the heart of the farm remained the same, creating a welcoming place where people can slow down, gather together, and make lasting memories.

That vision ultimately led to the creation of Valley View at Yenser’s. After years of hosting guests on the farm, the family recognized the opportunity to create a venue where weddings and special events could be celebrated in a setting rooted in history, family, and natural beauty. Unlike many venues, Valley View is not simply a building built for events, it is part of a working family farm with deep local roots and generations of history behind it.

Today, Megan and her husband, Nolan, proudly coordinate all events at Valley View at Yenser’s as fourth-generation members of the family business. Their hands on involvement and personal connection to the property are what truly set Valley View apart. Every wedding, celebration, and gathering is hosted by a family that has lived and worked on this land for generations. From the first trees planted in 1971 to the venue experiences created today, the Yenser family remains committed to preserving the traditions, hospitality, and sense of community that have defined the farm for more than 50 years.
